Neuland Coaching offers a unique integrative, somatic, and holistic approach. Unlike traditional goal-focused coaching it addresses the whole human experience, integrating mind, body, and nervous system. Neuland Coaching prioritizes understanding and harmonizing these elements for lasting transformation.
Somatic – The word somatic comes from the Greek soma, meaning "body." Somatic coaching focuses on the connection between mind and body, using movement, breath work, and body awareness to help you process emotions, regulate your nervous system, and shift ingrained patterns. Instead of relying only on thought-based strategies, somatic coaching taps into your body's wisdom to support meaningful and lasting change.
Holistic – Holistic means looking at the whole person—not just symptoms, behaviours, or isolated challenges. This approach considers your emotional, physical, and mental well-being while recognizing how past experiences, nervous system responses, and personal strengths shape your present reality.

It's important to clarify that "talk therapy" isn't universally ineffective for trauma and PTSD, but recent research highlights limitations and emphasizes the need for specialized, trauma-focused, somatic and holistic approaches. The research points out the importance of addressing the physiological and emotional aspects of trauma, not just the cognitive ones. A somatic approach is particularly crucial in trauma recovery and overall well-being because it addresses the body's role in storing and processing experiences.
While therapy often focuses on diagnosing and explaining mental health conditions and past traumas, my coaching approach is future-focused and growth-oriented. I help clients develop practical strategies, regulate their nervous system, and cultivate self-awareness so they can thrive in their daily lives. However, my trauma-informed coaching recognizes how past experiences shape the present, and I provide a safe, supportive space for healing through somatic (body-based) techniques.

Trauma-informed leadership is most likely one of the leadership styles of the future. With over 75% of Canadians being exposed to at least one event sufficient to cause PTSD, almost every employee and team member has experienced traumatic stress. Trauma-informed leadership recognizes the impact of trauma on the individual and how it influences performance, relationships, and well-being in the workplace. With people only thriving when they feel safe and supported, trauma-informed leadership promotes psychological safety, reduces stress, and increases productivity.
