Hi, I am Katja,
The face behind
Neuland Coaching.

With more than 17 years of professional experience in the health and wellness industry, I help people and organizations grow with compassionate, authentic, sustainable, and ethical guidance.

  • My coaching approach is multi-faceted, holistic, and deeply personalized, combining evidence-based practices with intuitive, body-centered guidance. I blend mindfulness, somatic awareness, neuroscience, and trauma-informed coaching to meet each client where they are.

    My approach is:

    • Somatic & Trauma-Informed – Using body-based techniques to regulate the nervous system and process stored emotions safely.

    • Mindfulness-Based – Encouraging present-moment awareness, non-judgment, and practical self-regulation tools.

    • Neurodivergence-Affirming – Tailoring coaching to ADHD and autistic individuals in ways that work for them, not against them.

    • Experiential & Embodied – Going beyond theory to integrate real-life practices that create meaningful shifts.

    • Science-Backed & Holistic – Weaving together neuroscience, psychology, and yogic tools for a well-rounded, effective approach.

    • Sustainable & Practical – Focusing on real, long-term solutions rather than quick-fix strategies that lead to burnout.

    • Relational & Collaborative – Creating a co-creative, non-hierarchical space where clients are active participants in their growth.

  • My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that true transformation happens when people feel seen, understood, and supported in their wholeness. I recognize that growth is not about forcing change but about cultivating awareness, self-compassion, and sustainable, embodied shifts.

At the heart of my philosophy is:

    • Healing happens in connection – People thrive in safe, supportive environments that honour their lived experiences. Co-regulation is more powerful than self-regulation alone.

    • Mindfulness is a path, not a quick fix – Real transformation comes from deep, ongoing self-awareness, not trendy hacks or surface-level productivity tips.

    • The body holds wisdom – Lasting change isn’t just cognitive; it must be felt and integrated through somatic (body-based) awareness.

    • Neurodivergence is not a flaw – ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent ways of thinking are valuable and should be supported, not suppressed.

    • Sustainability over burnout – Healing and leadership should be built on sustainable, long-term practices rather than pressure, perfectionism, or overworking.

    • Inclusion is non-negotiable – Everyone deserves access to mindful, trauma-informed spaces that honor their unique background, identity, and needs.

    • Resilience comes from self-trust – Growth isn’t about following rigid external rules but about developing a deep sense of inner safety and trust.

  • I hold several coaching certifications from renowned organizations:

    • Certified Relational Skills Trauma Coach, Somatopia

    • Certified Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Practitioner, The Embody Lab

    • ICF-accredited Certified Brain Coach, The Brain Academy

  • I am a multiple-times certified yoga, meditation, and mindfulness teacher with more than 17 years of professional experience in teaching private clients, groups, and teams. I have taught over 5,000 public classes to more than 20,000 participants in Canada and Germany.

I teach modern, evidence-based yoga that blends contemporary movement science, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. My approach is non-lineage-specific, adaptable, and rooted in functional movement principles rather than rigid traditions or fictional historic episodes.

  • With over 17 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, I am a somatic coach and a leading expert in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. As the founder of Neuland Yoga and Neuland Somatic Holistic Coaching, I am driven by my passion for transforming lives, modern culture, and society through sustainable, inclusive, and accessible teaching methods.

My signature philosophy intricately weaves together the body, brain, mind, heart, soul, and spirit, embracing the holistic nature of human well-being. I hold multiple certifications, including over 1,000 hours of yoga, bodywork, and mindfulness training. Additionally, I am an ICF-accredited Brain Coach, a Relational Skills Trauma Coach, and a Somatic Trauma Therapy Practitioner.

Born and raised in the former GDR (German Democratic Republic) under repressive conditions, I am deeply committed to empowering individuals to overcome adversity, embrace personal growth, and thrive in inclusive, supportive environments.

As an individual with ADHD, I advocate for normalizing neurodivergence and breaking the stigma around mental health challenges. I firmly believe that positive change and healing are possible—one mindful thought, one mindful action at a time.

    • I RUN, ROCK, and REPEAT: I picked up running at the age of 41 and ran my first marathon a year later. My most memorable running event so far was finishing the authentic Greece marathon, running from Marathon to Athens in 2023. You see me at running events wearing a “Race for Ukraine” shirt in protest of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

    • I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 45 after decades of mental health and life struggles.

    • I am a dog lover and a crazy cat lady. My husband and I parent three cats: Pink, Punk, and Mocha. I miss having a dog, though, and can imagine working as a dog trainer one day.

    • I am a writer, always have been. I have worked for 20 years as a copywriter and journalist, and I intend to publish some books in the — hopefully near — future.
